2016 AROCA Competition Championship Results

Hi all, after the excesses of the festive period I have finally tallied up the points for the 2016 Club Competition Championship.

At the last update Vince Monachino was only one point clear of Rod Quinn with a couple of rounds to go. Vince entered the Collie 500 round and scored a useful 13 points and went into a 14 point lead as Rod had not entered. However, Rod scored 24 points at the Vintage Stampede on the 24th November meaning Vince had to get at least 11 points at the same event in order to win the Championship. In the end he scored 16 so congratulations to Vince on winning for the second year in succession and well done to rod for scoring so highly after only entering 3 of the events.

 

The number of members entering in Alfa’s was down this year but next year we should have a few more competitors with Ivan back on track, Nick Rahimtulla getting the 2ooo GTV out and possibly a couple of new faces. Maybe you too?

 

I am putting together this years calendar at the moment with the first probable event to be a Twilight Sprint at Barbagallo raceway on February 18th so get ready.
